Discourse (software)

Discourse is an open source Internet forum system developed by Jeff Atwood, Robin Ward and Sam Saffron in 2014. It features threading, categorization and tagging of discussions, configurable access control, live updates, expanding link previews, infinite scrolling, real-time notifications and a plugin architecture with a theming system. It is written in EmberJS and Ruby on Rails and distributed under the GNU General Public License version 2. It is actively maintained with over 49,000 commits as of June 2023.
