5G is the fifth-generation technology standard for broadband cellular networks, succeeding 4G networks, and began global deployment in 2019. It offers higher download speeds, reaching up to 10 gigabits per second, and has a larger bandwidth, allowing more devices to connect and improving internet services in crowded areas. However, only devices with 5G capability can use these networks.
