QUIC is a transport layer network protocol designed by Google to improve performance of connection-oriented web applications. It uses UDP and multiplexed connections to reduce latency, bandwidth estimation, and congestion control algorithms. It has been standardized by the IETF in 2021 and can be used for DNS-over-QUIC applications.
