Web development is the process of creating websites for the internet or private networks. It involves tasks such as web engineering, design, content development, scripting and security configuration. Web development teams can range from one person to hundreds and use methods like Agile. There are three main types of developers: front-end, back-end and full-stack. The industry has grown significantly since its commercialization in the 1990s.
