Web Privacy

Internet privacy

Internet privacy is the right to keep personal information private when using the internet. It involves protecting data from being collected, stored, re-purposed or shared with third parties. Privacy concerns have been raised since the emergence of computer technologies and mass surveillance. It includes both personally identifiable information (PII) and non-PII such as website visitor behaviour. Privacy can protect individuals from abuses of power, even if they are not doing anything wrong.
