Multidimensional analysis is a data analysis process that groups data into two categories: data dimensions and measurements. It can be used to analyze single-dimensional (longitudinal or cross-sectional) data sets, as well as two-dimensional data sets. Examples include the number of wins for a single football team at each of several years, or the number of wins for several football teams over several years.
