A tangible user interface (TUI) allows users to interact with digital information through the physical environment. TUI development aims to enhance collaboration, learning, and design by giving physical forms to digital information, taking advantage of humans' ability to manipulate physical objects. Hiroshi Ishii, a professor at MIT, is a pioneer in TUIs and his vision, called Tangible Bits, focuses on making digital information directly manipulable and perceptible through physical objects.
