Dynamic assessment is an interactive assessment used in education and the helping professions, developed by Lev Vygotsky. It is an alternative to mastery-based measurements and involves assessing a person's ability to solve problems with or without help. It also measures the outer limit of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) as a more accurate measure of development than the Zone of Actual Development (ZAD).
