Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

Border Gateway Protocol

Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is a path-vector routing protocol used to exchange routing and reachability information among autonomous systems on the Internet. It makes routing decisions based on paths, network policies, or rule-sets configured by a network administrator. There are two types of BGP: Interior Border Gateway Protocol (iBGP) and Exterior Border Gateway Protocol (eBGP).
