Edge Computing

Edge computing

Edge computing is a distributed computing paradigm that brings computation and data storage closer to the sources of data, improving response times and saving bandwidth. It is an architecture rather than a specific technology, and is used in applications such as dealer locators, shopping carts, real-time data aggregators, and ad insertion engines. Edge computing is related to Internet of Things (IoT), but they are not synonymous.
