Linear algebra is a branch of mathematics that deals with linear equations, linear maps, and their representations in vector spaces and matrices. It is used widely in mathematics, engineering, and the sciences to model natural phenomena and compute efficiently. It is also used to approximate nonlinear systems by using the differential of a multivariate function at a point.
