MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface)

MIDI

MIDI is a technical standard that enables electronic musical instruments, computers and audio devices to communicate with each other. It allows for the transfer of data such as note pitch, timing and loudness, and can be used to create music from synthesized or sampled sounds. MIDI was standardized in 1983 and is maintained by the MIDI Manufacturers Association.
