Internet Protocol

IP is a network layer communications protocol in the Internet protocol suite used to relay datagrams across network boundaries. It defines packet structures and addressing methods to label datagrams with source and destination information. IPv4 is the dominant protocol of the Internet, while IPv6 has been increasing in deployment since 2006.
