Image Segmentation

Image segmentation

Image segmentation is the process of partitioning an image into multiple segments, or regions. It is used to simplify and/or change the representation of an image for easier analysis. It assigns a label to each pixel in an image based on characteristics such as color, intensity, or texture, resulting in contours that can be used to create 3D reconstructions.
