NumPy is a library for the Python programming language that adds support for large, multi-dimensional arrays and matrices, as well as a collection of high-level mathematical functions. It was originally created by Jim Hugunin and later modified by Travis Oliphant. NumPy is open-source software with many contributors and is fiscally sponsored by NumFOCUS.
