Narrative is a form of discourse that presents a series of related events or experiences, either fictional or nonfictional. It can be presented through spoken or written words, images, or a combination of both. Narratives are used to communicate values, guide behavior, and tell stories. They are found in all forms of art and entertainment, including literature, theatre, music, film, and video games. Narratives may also be nested within other narratives, such as those told by an unreliable narrator.
