Knowledge production modes

The concept of knowledge production modes refers to the different ways in which scientific knowledge is produced. Mode 1 focuses on basic research driven by scientific curiosity, while Mode 2 emphasizes applied research conducted by multidisciplinary teams to address real-world problems.
